Bendis Scripts!!!

Brain Michael Bendis is pretty big now. Or even huge, as far as his career goes. Check out his website for something I always find valuable when trying to work on scripts, and thats reading other peoples scripts. See how they do it. Their formulas for scripting and their wordings to help artists imagine the story. Read, read, read! He has a couple you can download for free or print out and read. The scripts are from his work on Powers, Avengers, and various other works.

Jeff Lemire's Autograph!

Jeff Lemire signed my issue #1 of Sweet Tooth! If you haven't read it, do it. It's a great read and has been continually critically acclaimed since it started 10 issues ago. He often lets you read a couple pages of the new issues before they release and keeps you up to date on all his projects. As well he sell's a lot of his artwork off his website. Anyway, he's a rising star in the comic book world, if not already one and he will be writing for superboy soon!!! He chonicles much of his journey and career since 2007, Catch up on his blog and check out his stuff!

Freddie E. Williams the 2nd

Freddie William's wrote the book I am reading for some assistance, advice, and etc... on how to draw comics in photoshop. The DC Comics Guide to Digitally Drawing Comics is actually a really helpful read, but not the point of this post. His website is! On his website not only is some of his cool art to buy for his work on Robin and JSA and such available but for those trying to break into the industry there is some great free (and some that costs some money) quick tools and templates for download off his website!

In the forum containing these links are some quick and easy youtube directions as to implementing, downloading, or even alternative uses for some of the tools. The most useful is probably the Master Page Templates for all your main publishers. (i.e. D.C., Image, Marvel, Darkhorse, a standard Template, and a free simple master page template.) Unfortunatly they are like 40 bucks a pop... BUT! It does save lots of time no doubt, rather then making the templates yourself!
